Renovation announcement

We are excited to announce that Bonne Esperance Guest House will be extensively renovated during the South African winter of 2019.

The beautiful Victorian Villa was built in 1907 and with the utmost care we will renovate the bathrooms and add balconies to the courtyard rooms to create a more contemporary feel. The vision of the architect, Lienkie Troskie from VIZI architects, is to create a harmonious flow between the historic and the contemporary but still see a distinct difference so one can identify what was built in which era.

Two new rooms will be added in the roof space of the 1960's part of the building with balconies that will have vistas from Bothmaskop to Stellenbosch mountain. All the bathrooms will be updated with walk-in showers and contemporary bathroom fittings and the rooms will be redecorated through a collaboration of Annemien Kotzé, the co-owner, and Jill Julies from Supreme Upholstery. The photographs on the website of the Classic rooms are examples of what the new rooms will look like.

We will keep our guests and followers updated on social media on the progress, so please watch this space and like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram.

We look forward to welcoming you to the new and improved Bonne Esperance Guest House.
